We have "pick your own" Raspberries and Blueberries in our own grow fields.
We tend the fields year round to ensure the best quality of berries for our customers.
All our berry plants are tied up for easy picking.

We generally open for berry picking the first week in July and continue through to early autumn. We welcome you nearly anytime, but it is best to call before coming to visit. Other products we offer are generally available throughout the year and can be ordered conveniently here on our site.

General Information about our Berries:

Fresh berries are nature’s convenience food, they need no peeling, hulling, or pitting. Fresh berries can be easily stored in a refrigerator for up to two weeks. Fresh berries can easily be frozen for use during the winter. (See how to store berries)

Photochemicals in Red Raspberries:

Anthocyanins, pigments give berries their color. Recent research shows these anthocyanins act as antioxidants providing many potential health benefits such as improving vision, controlling diabetes, improving circulation, preventing cancer, and retarding effects due to loss of memory.

Salicylic Acid is found in red raspberries and is suspected of having the same protective effect against heart disease as aspirin. A 100-gram serving (about ¾ cup) of red raspberries contains around 5 mg of salicylic acid.

Quercetin and Catchins. The quercetin content of red raspberries is 12 mg per 100 grams of juice and has been shown to reduce the release of histamine and may be effective against allergies. Catchins support the antioxidant defense system contributing to cancer prevention.

Nutritional value of red raspberries:

Red raspberries have been known to be beneficial for centuries and are being studied for the specific substances that are beneficial to the human body. All berries are good and red raspberries contain some special substances available to the human body. For instance a Japanese company is presenting its findings related to Ketones in raspberries that may help with weight loss.

Raspberries provide healthy fiber to food products. Fiber is a carbohydrate-like substance found only in plants. Dietary fiber helps maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract and may help prevent certain types of cancers, decrease heart disease, reduce blood cholesterol levels and lower the risk of heart disease. Raspberries contain (g/100g) dietary fiber.
