Welcome to our “Best Kept Secret in Readfield” We have lived here at 22 Berry Road in Readfield, Maine for about 34 years now and own a small berry farm. We started R&L Berry Farm back in 2002 with just 10 rows of raspberries and 2 or 3 beehives. In 2003 we expanded to 34 rows of raspberries, 150 high-bush blueberry plants and added some rhubarb. We also currently have over 15 hives. In 2008 we reduced our rows of raspberries to 33 to make room for mixed vegetables grown in our own hoop house and added 15 bushes of black currants. In 2009 we plan to add greenhouse
grown cut flowers to our offerings. The list of cut flowers will include:
sunflower varieties, zinnia, daisies, snapdragon, lily varieties, cosmos,
lavender, coneflower, canna, gladiolus, statice, penstemon, ageratum,
delphinium and other miscellaneous varieties. Available from June until
frost. Friends and visitors come from miles away to pick our raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and black currants.
We generally open for berry picking about July 9th and continue through to early autumn. Our hours for being open for picking are Monday through Saturday 10:00a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Sundays 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Other products we offer are generally available throughout the year and can be ordered conveniently here on our site.
